Cancer FactsLast week we began discussing the different types of cancers that tend to affect women the most. While many cancers can affect both men and women, there are some that are only experienced by women and others that tend to affect women more often than men. Cancer facts will help women know the symptoms of these cancers as well as know how to prevent these cancers. Last week, we talked about ovarian, breast, and colon cancer facts. This week, we will focus on cervical, endometrial, and lung cancer facts.

Knowing the Cancer Awareness Months

Cancer-Awareness-MonthsMany of our clients come to us because they are dealing with hair loss from radiation or chemotherapy to try and fight cancer. Whether it is breast cancer or thyroid cancer, the treatment can be rough and hair loss can only add to the devastation of the entire ordeal. Because of the amount of clients we see with different conditions, we try to remain educated about the different cancers that are causing such problems for our community.

Maybe you have heard that at least one out of eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer within their lifetime. But did you know that every year over 200,000 women will be diagnosed within the United States and it will claim the life of at least 40,000.
