How Can You Tell if Your Wig Fits Right?

How Can You Tell if Your Wig Fits Right?

There’s plenty of signs of a wig that doesn’t fit the right way.

The fit of your wig is an important part of your daily comfort. A well-fitted wig could make you feel confident! How do you know if your wig fits the right way? If you try on an ill-fitting pair of pants or shirt, it’s evident from how it looks and feels. There aren’t clear signs that a wig doesn’t fit, right? Luckily there’s plenty of signs of a wig that doesn’t fit the right way. The experts from Wigs and Hair Solutions will be able to help you out with fitting your wigs. Here’s a few things to keep in mind when trying on wigs for the first time.

Proper Custom Wig Fitting

Before anything else, you must learn your custom wig size. If you don’t know it, it’s simple to find out. You’ll only need measuring tape. With the proper measuring tape, find the circumference of your head. You will want to start with the nape of your neck and end at your hairline. We at Wigs and Hair Solutions can give you a hand with this. Once you’ve got a measurement, you can determine the right wig size.

How to Wear Your Custom Wig

After receiving your wig, you are now able to check the fit of the piece. The size is a jumping-off point. A large in one type of brand might be too big, while another brand’s large is just the right fit. You aren’t bound to one specific size. It is all about what you’re comfortable in. Try on your wig and look in the mirror to see how it looks and feels.

Your Custom Wig is too Big if

If you move around your head and the wig slides along with it, then you need a smaller wig. If the ear tabs gap up and you’re able to see your head underneath, your wig is too big. Check out the hairline or the lace front. Is there any buckling or wrinkling t the front of your wig? If so, consider a smaller size.

Your Wig is too Small if

If the wig slides all the way back on your head and reveals your hairline or scalp, it is too small. Also, if the wig has a lace front, check it out too. If it is rolling under instead of lying flat on your head, you need a bigger sized wig. If your fitted wig has a monofilament top, it should be laying flat if the monofilament cap sticks up on the very top of your head, that is a symptom that the wig is a bit too small.
